The month of blessings has begun with bright nights and beautiful days. All are excited to enjoy ramadan to its fullest both spiritually as well as physically.
For most of us the holy month brings lots of goodies along with other gifts. While our dining tables are oozing with different kinds of food there are those who don't have anything to keep their fasts and then at iftar. Can any of us imagine fasting without proper sehr and iftar?Returning IDPs are facing the same situation in addition to other problems.
Some industrialists of Karachi did manage to arrange "Ramadan Package" for them. And KRC team decided to take the task of transporting it to the affected areas.Though some steps were taken in this regard but consecutive bomb blasts in Peshawar came in the way and 300 packages could be sent to the victims in their areas, remaining 700 were distributed in Maradan.

Each package comprised of
20kg flour.
10kg potatoes.
10kg onion.
1kg pulses(channa).
1kg beans(lobia).
1kg pulses(masoor).
1litre sherbat.

1/2kg red chili powder.
1/2kg corriander powder.
200g termeric powder.
200g tea leaves.

Package shrinked
Tue, 08/25/2009 - 11:03 — Sufyan KakakhelSome of the promised donations did not reach and finally Mr. Khalil bholawala, the main figure behind the Ramadan Package decided to exclude onion and potatoes from the package. However two items were added too. These were plastic glasses and plastic bowls, as there was a huge quantity of these items left in our store after winding up the camp. So we decided to give away these with the Ramadan package.
